Mr_Lochwood - Resident Bully

According to a censored / deleted topic, a user was threatened by the Home elite. Mr_Lochwood, also known around Home as "Oh god not him again," has been regurgitating his usual brand of self-righteous vomit to other users. You might recall months back Mr_lamewood getting into a tiff due to him giving away PSN cards in user created contests. Well that got shut down, and hence he is now policing other users doing the same thing. Apparently the concept of buying friends on Home is exclusively his.

Lockdown -- Updated

Written by: Kapow

Well I noticed there wasn't a February Suggestions Thread in the Sony forums, so I thought I would take it upon myself to post it. Less than 5 minutes after it was posted it got locked. I proceeded to PM Avara. I informed her that I just created a thread, gave her a link to it, and asked why it had been deleted. That was over an hour ago. She was online when I first sent it, and she is online right now. I have yet to get a response from her. So what, is there a fucking rule that says we, the average joe, can't post a suggestion thread? Is there a rule that says only Sony and forum staff can post those types of threads? This was an unjust lock. It was wrong of them to lock it. Did it make GlassWalls look bad that I had posted the February Suggestion thread before he did? Who gives a fuck who posts it so long as it gets posted. The earlier into a month these threads are posted, the better. But i guess that makes to much sense.

Here's a link to view the thread.

[Update] Got a PM from Cobra1:

Basically:
"You're not an HCM, fuck you."

I replied to her/his PM but have yet to receive a response.

Idolmaster Event – Japan Home

I saw this topic earlier today, and suddenly it was deleted. The author has reposted it thankfully, and I'll copy it here in an effort to keep Home staff from silencing anyone.

I am reposting this thread with information about the IDOLMASTER event currently taking place in Japan Home with the permission of the forum administrator.

For those interested, the IdolMaster event is currently underway in Japan Home. The event is combination of both a live animated performance and a video presentation. With the conclusion of the event for which there are 3 different performances, the users are awarded different color glow sticks: White, blue and pink.

The event is hosted at the presentation space which is accessed by visiting a vending machine in Japan Home's Central Plaza. Selecting the vending machine and pressing X will wisk you away to the presentation space.

I must admit that Japan events are really well planned and executed in my view. It would be nice if we could get something similar to this here in North American Home. Other fun events are also currently underway in the EU with the Heavy Rain event exclusive to that region at the moment, as well as the Prinny event which is taking place in Hong Kong (Asia).

A Youtube video of the event can be found at the following link:

Some images of the event are included below as well.

Pictures of the glowsticks are here from

Banned, well maybe this one is just

Although it does suck to be banned from anywhere for any reason, I'll assume this guy had it coming because he just kept spam-complaining. However, it did raise a good point, what can you be banned for? What are the bannable offenses on home? for that we turn to the PlayStation®Home Open Beta Agreement:

We reserve the right to suspend or cancel the Open Beta or your access to the Open Beta at any time at our sole discretion.
Roughly translated, anything. They can ban you for: Having red hair, being gay, being straight, liking the show "Friends," speaking Spanish, Speaking English, Having a name beginning with the letter S, being a fan of Coldplay, (This one I can understand) enjoying fish, wearing a hat made of fish, owning a Xbox 360, owning a Nintendo WII, owning a Playstation 3, dancing with trained animals, having extra fingers, using post-it notes, etc.

After you spend money on Home, with it's current agreement, you pretty much have given them the green light to boot you off Home for any reason at any time, without any refund. Suckers.

Home Moderation Terrified of Home-Watch!

We've gotten swamped with multiple emails from folks who have been censored. Rather then anything we'd love to do a little jig and get on with the mockery, but I'll post emails instead.

Email #1:
the removed my fucking signature and deleted a thread i made. bastards
Email #2:
i came across a link to your site in the home general forums, can't help but appreciate the bulk of everything you are posting there, keep up the good work and perhaps some competent people will be hired to run home and moderate. and oddly enough when i navigated back to the forums the post with your link had been deleted.
Email #3:
they deleted the last one i made 'cause it had the home-watch url in it. here's the message i got:

Warning
From: Admin Assistant Avara
Date: 01-16-2010 10:25 PM

Please refrain from advertising and posting links to inappropriate content (inappropriate language) on the forums. Thank you for your attention in this matter.
Email #4: (And my favorite, from a Sony Employee)
dude, lol. you are pissing a lot of people off.your blog is hush hush.but everyone is talking about it quietly.a bunch of us are laughing our asses off aroud here. please keep up , most of us hate home with a passion.
Other then you guys at Sony not being able to put together an email that can be read, you guys are awesome for shooting this to me, and thanks again for letting me paste it.

Censorship is abound! Seems we must have ruffled some feathers, because we're even being chatted about at Sony. Wow. Awesome job everyone. To celebrate, I've made a new sig image without our url, so we can avoid those hyper-sensitive feelings of the Home staff.

Plagiarism - Only From the Elite

A few days ago I mentioned a member's thread getting shut down for a BS reason: Sorry, you're just not good enough. They attempted to play it off saying it was a "game." Only Forumtroll kissasses can have that privilege. Then Reverend_Maggot posted the exact same thread, with the exact same content, without any credit to the person he stole it from. He even has the churchbells to make the next comment:

Yeah, this one is kinda like an Official Game Thread. Game Threads in the PS forums are allowed only by MVPs and mods and such, so nearly all the other times, the other threads will be lock/deleted as a game thread or being off-topic or something like that.

I'm hoping to create other game threads later on down the road depending on how well this one goes. Something to bring some fun and sense of community here in the Home Forum!

The f'ing gall of that guy. You ever needed any other evidence of how some users are favored, here it is. Hey Reverend, you remember that one commandment? Number 8? Thou shall not steal? Stop being a hypocrite and give credit where credit is due.

And god forbid someone attempt to take credit. The author/creator of the concept said the following: (And nothing more)

This thead looks familiar...

Which Jim77, with his lips puckered like his browneye, came directly to it's defense:

But is set up by an MVP so is allowed.

Dont flame / bait please

Then it vanished. The whole thing was deleted. Outstanding, just when I think my point hasn't been driven home enough, the ammo truck pulls up and literally hands me more.

Why Does Report Rarely Function?

Something that bothers me quite a bit is this. The HCM mods will crawl up your rectal cave if you say shit, fuck, cunt, or any racial slur. However, having a guy chase you around telling you he plans to track you down and rape you isn't an issue.
I was hanging out in cp when this guy came up and started chatting me up. i ignored him. he started with the "you ****ing stupid **** *****" and every other blocked word you could think of. i kept ignoring was gonna put him on block when he said "i can easy break into your playstation and find you" followed "i could be in your bedroom by midnight" which really freaked me out. I went for the report function, and it didn't function. I posted it on the home support forums 2 times. it was deleted 2 times. wth?

Jesus grape-flavored Christ. This is retarded, and I want to see you get justice. I'm going to figure out where the MODs get their paychecks and start writing them. I started this blog to voice opinions of the voiceless, but if someone is threatening rape and the mods are deleting it rather then facing it, it's time to get militant.

shungkusatsu strikes... again.

Another email:

This email is pretty much a follow up to an email you received (Sorry my friends don't like your post). I really enjoyed those threads and thought they were very unique and entertaining. When I no longer seen any more threads from the user I just thought they decided not to post those threads anymore. When I found out that the threads were moved I PMed the person who made the threads and asked them why they were moved. They told me the whole story so I decided to make a thread questioning the reason for moving the threads and asked if we were allowed to post any pics. Well my thread was up almost all day with only one generic response, the forum elites were too busy making fun of new home users on another thread. When I checked the forums later that evening I see that my thread had been deleted and I had received a message from a moderator, you will never guess who the mod was. To my surprise it was shungokusatsu, name sound familiar? (I never mentioned him or any moderator in my thread). Coincidence...I think not.
There is a serious problem on home and on the forums with favoritism among the mods,HMC and the home and forum elites. They can deny it all they want but everyone else sees it. There is no way to explain why my post was up on the forums all day then all of a sudden shungkusatsu comes along and deletes my thread, the same person who moved the other threads that I was asking about. One of his forum friends obviously did not like my post just like like they did not like the great threads that showed everyday users on home not the elites.
Thank you very much for your email! We have received a lot of email about this shungkusatsu fellow, and I've yet to see anything positive. Everything I get is very questionable, and always seems to point in the direction of promoting his friends while battling with people his buddies don't seem to like. I appreciate the email, and we will keep posting them if you keep writing them.

I too have fallen victim to the censorship that seems to have plagued the Playstation Home General forums as of late. Nothing I post remains anymore and I feel as if they are trying to drive anyone out that does not conform to their "fanboy" mentality. What is going on over there? Since when does a company decide that the customer is always wrong? Over the past few days, I have witnessed post after post being removed from the forums leaving only hacked threads that make no sense anymore whatsoever. All the while, the flaming on the forums and the harassment on Home remains. Is it me or is this just bass ackwards?

If anyone is a whining cry baby here it is the entire Playstation Home Staff and Playstation Home Forum Moderators. To censor and drive out those individuals that pay their salary is not only risky, it is just plain dumb. But then again, who are we to question the actions and motives of the almighty Playstation Home staff.

This is a pathetic way to run a business and as far as I see it, this is the beginning of the end of Playstation Home.
Thank you for your story, and we're sorry you have to deal with that. It's unfair and silly to remove criticism, small conflicts, and potty mouths while sexual harassment, stalking, and racism remains. Thank you for saying something!

Posts critical of HCM removed.

Sent via email:

Below is a reply I made to this post that got deleted. It was meant as a joke and yes I admit, a stab at the Mods since they obviosuly are not doing their job. After I made this post, 90% of anything I say is removed. No warning, no explanation.

------------------------------
-------------

Hey D and Bat,

It's nice to see the mods in Home were using their powers to finally rid us of you rif-raff and troublemakers. You two should be ashamed of yourselves for doing such a thing. While you were breaking the rules and being reprimanded, I was with my friends watching the harrasment that goes on toward female avatars. We got to experience the crouchers, the stalkers, the pervs, the grievers, and the like. No mods were to be seen. I hope you two have learned your lesson and you should know by now that proper Home etiquette does not consist of dancing on bars!

Oh wait, do I have that backwards? Lol.

---------------------------------------------

After I posted this there was about 15 more posts of discussion. None of which warranted deletion, but in fact got deleted. No warning, no explanation.
Thank you for submitting your story. We at Home-Watch apologize on behalf of the community for the harassment and singling out done to you by the Home Moderation staff. We will continue to fight and expose, if people like you are willing to stand up for yourselves!

A letter from a concerned Home member

Dear PSN Home Watch,

A friend sent me a link to your site via PM on the forum. I wanted to take a minute to thank you for alerting me to some posts being deleted from the thread [name removed] started, 'The Nature of Home'. My memory's so bad I wouldn't have caught it if you hadn't mentioned it. I know some other posts had been deleted in a corresponding thread, but I didn't realize the same thing had happened in the one [name removed] started. That's quite a shame. Clearly the management team has time to read and censor us for daring to speak up, yet they still don't bother replying to us.

Anyway. Aside from that, I wanted to offer any help or assistance I can with your site. Unfortunately, I think a site such as yours is badly needed. I was kinda tempted to start one myself, but since you've beaten me to it, I see no point in replicating it. So instead, let me offer my services. I see your blog's hosted by Blogger. I have tons of webspace and would be more than happy to build a blog for you and host it entirely on my webserver, so that you don't have to deal with Blogger's ad bar at the top of your page or anything like that. I just wanted to put that offer out there.
And if there's anything else I can ever do to help, please do let me know.

Thanks very much!
- [name removed]
Thank you very much for your letter! We appriciate the hosting offer and everything, but we'd like to stay on a neutral ground where we can expose the HCM and Home management without bringing negative attention on other community members. Also it could be viewed as though we were your puppet extension, and that's not fair to you. But we promise if you keep sending us stuff, we will submit it and publish it for the world to see!

POOF! Your message has been deleted.

Today alone, with this blog just being a day old seems to be getting swarms of tipsters. One writes in:

"a couple of us have had out posts deleted in the topic The Nature of Home: The Root of Recent Failures. Needless to say, this has become a normal part of home.

None of the posts were inflammatory, they were only critical of the moderators. No warnings were issues, nor was any heads up given to the posters, they were simply removed. We at Home-Watch would encourage the HCM to allow people to state their opinions on their behaviors and actions, in order to promote a better community.
