Oh man, this is turning into LOLz Festival 2010

OK so (I'm laughing even as I type this) I was editing a new account last night, The-Home-Watcher (Spoooiiillerrr) and I was searching through the mounds of shit people call "Threads" over at the Lithium forums trying to find Something to even make a comment on at the Least. I came across this thread. Another good ol' fashioned brown-nosing thread made by NARDE15. Basically it was just him saying how much Home rocks his world, he added a few plugs towards the end for his podcast things, and then ended it by saying 'hola'. Which was weird to me, I mean, why would he saying 'hello' in Spanish at the End of his post?
Anyways, another guy comes in behind him, quite literally, and starts brown-nosing NARDE15 for his excellent brown-nosing, calling him "an awesome veteran closed beta tester." So now you have dual brown-nosing going on and things are starting to get hot and heavy. ADAMPwns comes in with some music and another dude asks "You're a Vet? Since When?". In which some other guy makes a snarky remark and tells the above person to "study up ;)".

Now that we're all up to speed, I present you with the following:

[*Note* this shot was taken before I posted it, obviously] So I kept an eye on the thread for a little while until i went to sleep. Just got home about an hour or so ago, go to check the thread and blamskee, perma-ban actiooonnn hahaha. I go into the forums anyways because, I'm Kapow and I do what I want, and check on that thread only to find that my criticizing RE had been deleted completely. Not really surprised at this point.
But I wonder, did they perma-ban my new account simply because of the name, or because I criticized their piece of shit "application", or....well, let's face it, that's Exactly why. I mean, I hadn't told anyone about that account up until now so there's no way they new it was me trying to "evade" my ban. I guess they don't give out warnings now either. They just profile people instead.


Anyways, hope this provided some entertainment for you guys like it did for me.

Home Board Game!

If one thing I love, it's seeing dumb people suffer. Which is the case in this epic topic, where the resident brown-noser created a board game.

Sadly, everyone's' favorite bus driver crapped on the parade. However I am DEVOTED to seeing this game come to life. So In an effort to help make this dream a reality, I want to invite the Home-Watch family to help create new and exciting bits for this game. I promise you, I'll be doing the same.

I am turned our favorite Home team into raceable characters in ModNation! So you can tear up the track with Glasswalls or throw a salvo of missiles into Locust_Star, all depending on your mood

As much as I'd like "throw my missile" into Locust_Star, I have to ask, are these people really worth the effort to emulate in a game? I say no. I do however like how Jim777 managed to nail Jack Buser's pedophile meets Johnny Depp Willy Wonka hairdo & CydoniaX's hands seem to be to scale.

Plagiarism - Only From the Elite

A few days ago I mentioned a member's thread getting shut down for a BS reason: Sorry, you're just not good enough. They attempted to play it off saying it was a "game." Only Forumtroll kissasses can have that privilege. Then Reverend_Maggot posted the exact same thread, with the exact same content, without any credit to the person he stole it from. He even has the churchbells to make the next comment:

I promised I'd get up close and personal with some of home's self appointed elite. Now here's the first! I decided to go for Jim777, since #1 we just covered one of his laughable posts, and #2 he decided to leave a mean message in the comments of one of our posts. Mean boy. So, here's Jim777 in all his elitist glory:

The first thing a lot of people say to me is that I brown nose, that I am always trying to look good for the mods and managers. While I think everyone should conduct themselves in a civil and nice manor to say that I am posting just to look good is just not the case. For example when I joined the HCV program a lot of my fellow HCVs filtered their posting a bit more, posting less, posting more info when they did post, and only posting when they felt they needed to. I however did not, I felt that if the program would demand that I change my posting style then I would not be comfortable with it any longer. So I continued posting in my usual manor. And yes I made goof ups on occasion as I always do and will continue to do, and yes maybe I posted when I shouldn't have, to err is human. But I take pride in the fact that I did not alter my posting style to try and please the community or management.

People often tell me that I agree with Sony to much, that I blindly follow them. Again this is not the case. The difference is that when I have a complaint or a disagreement I usually don't post it.

It's easier to just shut up and take it, isn't it. I don't know if I'd explain on a forum that I was a coward, but to each their own.

I also feel that due to the overwhelming number of complaints on the forums that Home tends to get bashed a lot, and since the management is busy getting development on fixing these issues, updating Home, reading these forums, having lives outside of Home, being in world to make sure everything is as it should be and eating delicious cake, that they just don't always have the time to reply to everyone. So I try to act as the voice of reason and help people out however I can to make these forums a place you can receive info as well as give.

That is not the mods jobs, mods or moderators enforce the TOS, devs or developers fix Home and make new content.

Wait, you actually know what it is the mods do? Weird, NO ONE ELSE DOES.

The devs certainly put alot of work into tiny details, from huge breathtaking views of waterfalls to a crack on a table Home is a treat for the eye.

All in all, I'll give Jim777 this. He isn't the worst of the bunch, he seems like just a dumb kid trying too hard. Which is one of the reasons I picked on him first. I'm saving the people who are worse for later enjoyment. There are many people worse I will go after soon enough. However this is a prime example of a person who'd rather go with the flow then fight. I prefer the old fashioned approach, which is why I started this blog. To quote the Declaration of Independence:

There have been many concerns recently over forum games (ie. game trivia, collaborative stories, etc.). We realize that these types of things are fun to many members and certainly don't want to eliminate them completely, but at the same time we need to take steps to make sure that they stay on the right course and don't degrade into pointless droning. (Homewatch note: at no point did this forum post get that way. The excuse is without any foundation) At this time, we'd like to restrict the privilege of creating such games to MVPs. We will work with them on ways to create games that add value to the community and stay meaningful, and yet are fun at the same time. This includes avoiding games that only elicit one-word responses, that don't create any discussion, etc. If you have a neat idea for a forum game, feel free to mention it to one of your friendly MVPs. As I said though, this privilege is reserved only to MVPs, so we're asking that non-MVP members please refrain from creating such games on the forums. We appreciate your cooperation! Thank you

As comedic as this might be, this is actually something they seriously plan to do. Why? Well if history is any example, sometimes it's just easier to go along with leadership rather then question it. Because those who suck up to the governmental norm get nifty things, such as HCM jackets and special treatment.

Well, besides her complete inability to type a coherent sentence, spell, or use punctuation she raises a good point. Should the staff be blamed for everything? I would say no, because a lot of the things that happen aren't their fault. However, their complete lack of communicating with the community leaves them ignorant of WHAT the issues are. They ignore any and all bug reports. (If you doubt that, check the graveyard which is PlayStation®Home Support) They also don't do much in the way of letting us know when and if our concerns have been relayed to any development source. So thank you CameronGirl for pointing out how useless the HCM is, even though I think you were trying to support them. I don't know, I could be wrong, your post was borderline illegible.
