Another reason to avoid spending money on Home: (Edited for spelling and grammar)

Two days ago it took me an HOUR on the phone to straighten it this out. Apparently my acct got put on hold because I made several single purchases in "PlayStation Home" for myself. PlayStation took it upon themselves to flag my account due to my card possibly being stolen, but not bother to contact me about it. After three days of my account being on hold I spent an hour on the phone i was finally able to to log back in. Today i log in and ALL MY PURCHASES ARE GONE!!! (Two apartments, furniture, outfits and other items) I called them back today about all my stuff being missing and they tell me its not their problem and i have to contact moderators in this FORUM to get my PURCHASED ITEMS BACK. I find this very wrong and annoying.
Will someone please explain this madness and tell me how to get my stuff back?

If some of you don't know, Free Realms, the SOE developed MMORPG with 10 million+ [PC] users, will be showing a live demo for the PS3 at this year's E3.

So after reading this news, it made me wonder about a recent comment Buggie made. Which basically stated that he thought Home will be shit canned in around 18 months. Now, while all the stuff he listed sounded very plausible, this latest Free Realms development makes his statement seem all the more reasonable.

-an already well established game (Not social app.).

-1 year: 10 million+ users (probably has multiple accounts, doubt it's as bad as PSN)

-Level up system for characters, multitude of classes to choose from

-quests and events

-not a beta

Home

-a buggy, glitchy social application

-2 years: 12 million+ users (including a shit ton of multiple accounts)

-crappy avatars with bad customization options

-dance offs

-hiding behind a beta tag

I could go on and on, but I'm not going to for now.

My point is, with two social networking M&M game thing things, do you which do you think people are going to gravitate towards?

Do you really think Home is going to last if they don't get their shit together? Or after a year and a half, and Free Realms has 10-12 more million users while Home is still pumping out t-shirts, will Sony finally put Home out of its misery?

I'm trying not to make any rash conclusions, but it's hard not to wonder about it.

What do you guys think?

I was at a cookout and the topic of Queen Latifah’s new movie came up. One individual (a man) said he didn’t like to see her in romantic roles. Either it had something to do with Hip Hop or the fact she was playing against Paula Patton. I can’t remember which one exactly but the Paula Patton “Love Triangle” is unrealistic. I think Latifah is an attractive woman but something is not right about her playing someone’s love interest. I think it has to do with her sketchy dating history (or the lack thereof). You never see her with a man or hear about a man in her life. Well…….Maybe she plays for the other team. But if that’s the case then just be upfront about it. When I look at her I can’t tell what she wants or likes. That makes her confusing to me.

Side Note: Citizen Wifey said “It’s none of my business who she dates. And why wouldn’t Common get with Latifah. He was with Badu and he is currently with Serena Williams.”

Why does home keep getting so much junk. We are the cash cow of the Homes. Japan gets quality stuff. EU gets quality stuff. But US gets so much that it’s unorganized and most of it is just junk that isn’t related to anything. We need to get home back on track.

We need games or some type of game sharing for personal spaces. Something like the arcade machines that doesn’t kick you from home and something multi-player. chess table, some board games, Pool tables, old school games PS one classics ANYTHING to do in an apartment would be cool

I’m saying they’re giving us too much useless junk. We’re the cash cow. We just get stuff because they know we’ll buy it. I’m saying other regions have less stuff but what they do have is quality stuff.

I’m very dissapointed at the absolutely abysmal “updates” home has gotten. I’ve been on in excess of 9 months and not 1 single bug has been fixed. on the contrary they’ve gotten much larger, more frequent and more numerous and quite often lead 2 my ps3 having fatal crashes. I’ve deleted home and re-installed many times to no avail. People at sony need to wake up to the fact that beta testing is there to find and elimnate bugs not fob overpriced unwanted virtual junk on the public.

Locust_Star was off duty on home hanging out with the frostys. Not sure of the Psn but we know the mod or mods where there. Friday... Darken was makin accusations and bullying purposely. Next Day 1 account goes down. Get a call from GW. Saying that locust is aware about a incident and is baning 2 other accounts. Darken did admit to bullying and calling sony and making false alligations as well as havin a relationship with locust star. Monday, Another account gets hit. and finally tuesday the SoSe account goes down when it doesnt sign in! Simply because darken claims to have a close relationship with locust. it doesnt make her special. It just puts another open case between User/employee conspiracies.

Arizona’s new immigration law has become the talk of America. To be Mexican or not to be Mexican, that is the question!!! I originally thought that President Obama passed this law since he is associated with Fascism. Opps…it was the Republicans. This is the same party that supported the wire tapping of fellow Americans (In America). Benito Mussolini should be beaming up from Hell with pride….oops did I say that?? I don’t know where he is. He might be in Heaven with Tupac and Biggie (Ghetto Wishful Thinking).

I find it hilarious that white folks are going to be tasked with identifying who is or isn’t illegal. That’s just asking too much from them. Does the average white person really know the difference between Adalberto and Rodolfo? Sure my brother-in-law is white but he knows his minorities. These folks have been used for cheap labor since they stepped on U.S. soil. They cook, clean, and do menial labor while working for chump change. People didn’t have a problem with them cleaning their homes and cutting their grass. But the moment they wanted to “Come Up” (to be like the people whose trash they were taking out) and get a piece of the American Dream (as advertised by blonde women on television). It became a problem that needed to be fixed. True!! Something needs to be done about the illegal alien problem but isn’t this too extreme? The Obama Administration needs to be proactive and look for a solution on the illegal alien problem (Sike!!). Like everyone else before them they will probably keep kicking this down the road.

I keep hearing black folks being indifferent to this issue. Once again this is a bad look for “us” because we never learned the concept of building coalitions, but that’s another conversation for another time. Black folks will start paying attention when they start passing laws for Haitians and other “Dark Skinned” illegals.

Looking over the first few pages of the forums has made me think: "WTF is wrong with these mods?" They seem to lock pretty much every single topic posted no matter what the content. Since the 27th of last month mods have locked 76 topics.

I've been following this case as well, and I noticed that this little factoid wasn't posted: Judge Calls Alexander 'Risk To Community'

OKLAHOMA CITY -- A federal judge denied bond Monday morning for a Florida woman charged with sending obscene material to a minor.

Annamay Alexander, 44, met the 14-year-old boy while playing a Sony Playstation 3 game online. Police said Alexander drove from Florida to Oklahoma City to meet the boy at least once.

She was arrested last Wednesday by U.S. Marshals in Wichita Falls, Texas.

The boy's mother was in court Monday and told a reporter from Eyewitness News 5 that she is relieved Alexander is being denied bond. The mother left the courtroom surrounded by family, and she appeared to be upset.

An attorney representing Alexander argued that his client should be allowed to bond out of jail, suggesting she wear a GPS monitoring device.

Alexander is charged with transferring obscene material to a minor, two counts of sexual exploitation of a child and travel with intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct with a minor.

LOL rednecks. But this isn't really why I'm posting this. The reason I found this interesting is that it appears in the comments surrounding the news article, someone posted who appears to be the mother of the victim:

Okiemainer, my son played games with her family. She has sons around my son's age. Her family had multiple playstations and different family members played games with him at the same time. We believed he was talking to her teenage daughter on the phone. I asked questions about them. I believed what I was told. I was foolish not neglectful. I was upset after court because I didn't know some of the details that I found out today. I don't want your sympathy. I don't have any for me either just for him.

Oklahoma City woman is speaking out about the Florida woman accused of arranging an encounter with her teenage son through an online video game and having sex with him. The woman, whose name is not being used to protect her son's identity, said she thought her son was playing video games with Annamay Alexander's children. She said she later found out that Alexander had taken her son to a motel for sex."He was innocent and she stole it from him," the woman said. Police said Alexander, 44, was a married mother of three when the case started. The teenage boy's mother said Alexander introduced him to members of her family. "He met the husband, the mother and children," the woman said. She said the friendship escalated and items soon began to arrive in the mail. First, there were birthday gifts, like a NASCAR T-shirt. Later, the boy received written love notes." At this point, I started getting suspicious," the mother said. "She referred to herself as his wife." "But he wasn't there. "She said her son later told her that Alexander had picked him up. According to a police report, the boy said Alexander took him to a motel. "I said, 'Did you have sex with her?' And he said yes," she said. "I asked him if he'd used protection and he said, 'What is that?' "She said she began to dig through text messages and video game chat sessions, finding messages like one that said, "My body is yours to do whatever you want with." She said she also found suggested photographs. "I saw pictures of her only in a bra," the woman said.She called police and Alexander fled, investigators said. This might be funny for Kenan Thompson but it's a bad look for Steve Harvey. Harvey has been known to mispronounced words on his radio show but this is different. I wonder if it's because both shows have different audiences? His radio show audience is accustomed to him butchering names and sentences. The "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" audience is slightly different. Don't expect Thompson (SNL's lone black man) to put up the suits and mustache yet. Harvey is taking over hosting duties for Family Feud this September. Thompson will have plenty of new material for the fall.

I was just reading through the new TOS Sony squired out like oh so much diarrhea. I thought I'd take a moment to post links on each one to give a bit of the lulz.

I know this is not going to be a very popular post, but I really feel compelled to express my thoughts about this issue.
Two days after the most recent update and the SOCOM space, I looked out over a landscape of scores of white t-shirts with an AK slung over their shoulders. I have to be honest, the sight gave me a cold chill. I asked myself, "Is this the type of values we what to promote in our society?"
Many of you will respond with, "Its just a game", and you may be right, Home might be a game (the jury is still out on that one), but I am unclear how that justifies the glorification and public display of assault weapons.
We are not talking about a "display item" for your personal space; I didn't see any "gun safes" or "trigger locks" available as add-ons; You don't need to be part of the military or receive any special training about gun safety; You are just some guy in a t-shirt with an assault weapon.
I suppose I am feeling like this promotion was a little irresponsible. I'll take it a step further and ask, "Sony, what were you thinking?" I guess I can answer that one myself with a sound, "Ka-Ching!"

As much as I'd love to slap this whiny effeminate douchebag in the mouth, he-she brings up a good point. If home is going to cater to children, then why are they smearing their Call of duty knockoffs in childrens' faces? I have no problem with the guns for sure. But the fact that they promote violent war games in an open area exposed to impressionable kids, then we have a different issue.

A new website (http://pshome.b1.jcink.com/) has been slowly spreading through the internet lately, claiming to be able to net Home users rare items.

Rare Items: Items that were available for a limited time that are no longer obtainable.

Yes, it works. But it's not stealing and it's a fairly short list of items. Half are free and half you still have to pay for.

The free items are things from events or games that unlocked free items in Home. Basically, the free items you get from the site were already free and are no longer obtainable, AKA "Rare Items." So no one is losing money thus no one is stealing from SCEA.

The other items on the site are again Rare Items. You just have to pay for these. So again, no one is stealing because people are still paying for these items. If anything, the Home staff should be thanking these guys for getting SCEA more money. You can even buy the Final Fantasy 13 items with U.S Dollars. Plenty of people already buy foreign items (Joanna_dark for instance, or maybe she just steals them, who knows) with foreign PSN cards. They either buy the foreign cards or get a foreign friend to send them a PSN card, etc.

So with these foreign items on the website, they are doing people favors by:

1.) Skipping the process of getting your hands on foreign money, and lets you buy them from the PS Store with U.S Dollars.

2.) And giving SCEA more money from Japanese items.

I might not have mentioned this (I'm not proof reading this right now because I need to head to class soon), but you download and pay for all the items listed on the afore mentioned website via the PS Store. So there's no, "Just enter your credit card info here on our site and you'll get instant access to free items!" Simply go to the link up top, click on the item you want, then close you browser (it'll ask you if you want to close) and it'll take you straight into the PS Store at the screen where you choose to download the item.

Although I have not tried to pay for any items listed on the site, so try this at your own risk.
