I'm not on AT&T (been on Rogers and Wind in Canada). On Rogers/Fido or Bell/Telus/Virgin its not uncommon to consistently hit 5-6mbps on an iPhone or other phone (with hspa up to 7.2mbps). They've had hspa+ in many areas for over a year as well.

So hearing 4mbps out of hspa+ which is being marketed as 4G is just sad.

This is quite true. I am on Rogers in the Vancouver area and hit 5-6 Mbps (got screen caps if necessary) all the time. We've also had HSPA+ rolled out for over a year, yes.

They saw the iPhone in January, then rushed to change their ui design. it hows in their crapy look.

Have we seen this take place recently with another samsug product?

Seriously, no one is questioning this? I don't care how big this woman is, no one can eat 90 pounds of food plus 2 hams and 5 loaves of bread.

That ones not really too accurate due to the camera angle...its on a slope.

It was on a slope. I used a guide line in Photoshop and rotated the original photo 0.9 degrees CCW to remove the slope. Check my photo vs. the original.

Bowers & Wilkins MM-1 Computer Speakers

I can't really recommend those B&W MM-1 Speakers. My wife uses them (see setup threat somewhere) and the sound really is quite a bummer. The design is awesome though. but for 500 eu or 700 dollars, I really feel it's a NO GO

The Harman Kardon Soundsticks II that I use produce a much better sound at a much better price.

    But h, that's me

    So what?

No one will deny the success Apple has, yet its not good enough for this greedy CEO and company.

They are just out of control. Pure unadulterated gluttony.

Dude, you're just all over the place here. Your unmitigated hatred for a company has you flipping back and forth, and arguing against those who agree with you.

First of all, I think it's hilarious in and of itself that earlier in this forum you went on about how you'd rather be seen with your Galaxy S in public, because you don't want anyone to think you're a douche. Screw what other people think. If you care what others think you're just as bad as them.

But even funnier, you then come back in a later post and say that your self image is not tied to your phone. Seems completely contradictory to me. On the one hand, your are embarrassed to be seen with your iPhone. On the other, your self image is not affected by your phone. Hmmm.

Another interesting tidbit. On an earlier post you mention "this town" as NYC. Then later in another post you talk about "here" in LA and Orange County. I know you're located in the "Western Hemisphere", but you sure get around.

    You're outed. You're a troll.

I hope the mission was to capture Bin Laden, not kill him. If he had to be shot because he was fighting back or something then fair enough, but I hope the plan was to capture if possible.

Ideally, I would have liked to have seen him in front of the International Criminal Court for crimes against humanity. That would have been a victory to be proud of.

At&t bumped my upgrade eligibility from 11/30/2011 to 6/30/2011.

I do a lot of business and have several activated lines with AT&T and Verizon. I purchase several new phones annually from each of them. I'm a true smartphone addict.

AT&T has revamped the way they calculate upgrade eligibility and time lines. They used to simply count the months you've been in contract and assign you a fixed date.

Recently all that has changed. Now they take into consideration how much you spend with them, how many lines you have, what your data plan and text msg plans are etc. They monitor this on an ongoing basis. As a result your upgrade date on your account is dynamic and will change periodically.

It may change frequently or just once or twice during your contract period. In my case what I like is I get upgrade pricing just about anytime I wish based on the fact I spend quite a bit to have several concurrently activated phones.

    Your mileage may vary :)

OR another reason: Apple decided to go verizon exclusive and ATT is shunned.

If I wasn't a shareholder, I'd enjoy watching what would happen if this far fetched idea occurred. I know that it would certainly prove interesting.

    265 negatives. 95 positives.

    Wow, tough crowd.

IMO it doesn't look THAT bad. You all have to understand Apple is really pushing hard to get (iOS) iPad users to switch to OS X for their desktop needs as opposed to Windows switches. There are so many iOS features that are being built-in, I guess Apple figures they'll add the same visual cues in their applications to make it a simpler transition.

It's funny though, the OS itself is more monochrome this time around, but their applications are much more...."festive". :|

Just a note. If you look at the average of the average time between updates you discover that there are, amongst all the products, a 192 days period between updates.

Currently only 177 days have passed since the last update to the MBP. Oct 26 would be Mac Expo in the UK. If they anounced then (185 days) and shipped one week later they would be at the average (192 exactly).

Also noting that major US and Euro retailers are out of stock or low on stock is also a fairly good indicator.

Finally, I think it would be pretty damn sad if after 192 days of updating they merely give us a .16 processor upgrade...

    /4 cents and counting
