In Nashville for unleaded it is $3.80 a gallon. I have to use premium so the gas I use is $4 a gallon.

I have read numerous threads concerning this issue but seems like they are related to jailbreaking? I have not done this. Ihad purchased a number of apps and had not yet backed up on my itunes- therefore do not want to have to restore.

I find it amazing he's never used a computer before doing the Mac ads. But he uses a Mac now, and that's all that counts. :)
The funny thing is that on Leno last week (week of Aug 7) he said he didn't care what he used - I don't recall his exact quotation. He was somewhat amusing on there with stories about people coming up to him.

Wow... short sighted on the networks part. I'm surprised.... no difference than just having another TV in your house, just on your Tablet. It would be interesting to know more about their motivation behind this... maybe they want to go direct? In other words, maybe Discovery and the other channels want to sell direct subscriptions and not go through channel partners like Time Warner?
If that is the case... I smell disaster for the networks. Who wants to buy individual channels for their computers, iPads or other devices? Not me? It would have to be dirt cheap.
Hummm.... thinking about it... maybe it's not so dumb? If each channel was $.99 and I could pick Ala-carte who I wanted, I know my Cable bill would go from $40 per-month to less than $10. Maybe they are onto something thinking about it?

dropping motorola has been something more mac users here have pondered, but we will have to wait and see if ibm can truly deliver
the latest powermacs may not be as fast as was rumored but they are a good step in the right direction
when apple has no more machines in the sub 1 ghz range, then the complaints will definitely slow down, and once apple has a machine over 2 ghz sometime next year, then the speed issue will not be at the top of the list...of course, the pc world will be over 3 ghz at that time but hopefully not at 4 ghz...so it's our dual 1.25s vs. wintel's 2.5 ghz p4s and that does not look too good
so if we can scale up to 2 ghz while pcs are not at 4 ghz yet, then it won't look as bad or matter that much...and maybe then the major switching will start to begin en masse...i will keep my fingers crossed

at one time, i thought dot.com would grow even more placing much more IT/IS emphasis on WAN making cisco systems become the next microsoft but that did not happen and cisco is not in any position to take on the mantle of a microsoft

I don't think the number of clicks is the best metric here. If there are hundreds of articles in a category, it takes a long time to skim through the list of them. If you can spend a few extra seconds narrowing down what you're looking for, it can be much faster to find something.

The person who asked you how much ram you meant was referring to your video card ram not your system ram. I think that that GPU only has 128MBs of VRAM but am not 100% sure off the top of my head. but it is an older GPU you will probably have no problems running it on low but don't expect to run it on anything higher if your lucky you might be able to run at med settings depending on what res you run at. VRam is not as important as most people think it is. The processing power of the GPU itself is much more important.
Ya its the 128MB model. I mentioned that in my first post. And I totally agree with you on the processing power being most important. I know that X1600 chipset was already a couple years old in 2007 when my MBP was new, so by now I figure its pretty close to being on the edge.
Also, for those of you who got your beta key from Blizzard, how did they send it to you?

I bought the wii for the same reason you did, 250 is much cheaper than 400-600 and the virtual console sounded like an awesome idea.
I bought an xbox when it dropped to 200 and haven't touched the wii since. Also, the xbox live arcade games (a lot of them are also on the PSN) trounce the virtual console games.

The height was my way of not being seen while taking the photo. I could have taken it at the same level they were, but I'm almost sure they'd have seen me doing it. If I hadn't found the higher vantage point I probably wouldn't have taken a picture of them. I'm glad I did and that it is well received (so far). :)

In a roundabout way, perhaps. The companies are almost exclusively at fault for letting the unions take them over and reduce their ability to produce competitive vehicles at competitive prices. Certain consumers are to somewhat to blame for basically falling for it... for not paying attention to build quality, value, and instead simply purchasing something because it was 'made in America.'

The Consumerist was not lying, nor was AT&T lying; the call center employee wasn't even lying...s/he was just talking out of his or her ass. Call center employees are underpaid and under-trained, and half the time I think they're just trying to BS their way through the day. It has happened many times before that a low-level employee who is not even close to the loop has said something that has to be walked back by management. Always such things become gospel and remain fodder for conspiracy theorists. This strikes me as one of those cases.

Jeez. Just enjoy the thing you already bought. No use contemplating whats next. But ... a ULV SB and 3000 graphics is a decent trade off (for the 11"), the 13" can get ULV SB and 3000 graphics. (w/e its not like its that much of a difference, who plays hard core games on a machine like this and has space leftover), backlit keyboard, less bezel or a black border (not happening), HD facetime (why not), and a thiner body. Sure this is thin. Even thinner would be better :)
