Producer Kim Manners died

The "X-Files" profilic director and producer,Kim Manners died January 25 .Manners was died because complications from lung cancer at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He was 58 years old.

Manners being an active producer on nearly 160 episodes of the series and directed more than 50.He was receiving four shared Emmy nominations for his work. At the time of his death, he was a director and executive producer on the CW series "Supernatural."

His career started as a second assistant director on the 1971 feature "Valdez Is Coming," which was produced by his father, Sam Manners.

The younger Manners also directed multiple episodes of such TV shows as "Charlie's Angels," "Simon & Simon," "21 Jump Street" and "The Adventures of Brisco County Jr."

Manners is survived by his wife, Marline; his daughters, Jessica and Chelsea; his parents, Sam and Joyce Manners; his brother, Kelly, who is the line producer on Fox's new Joss Whedon series "Dollhouse"; and his sister, Tana, a longtime first assistant director.
