1) I have heard from someone that there is a statement on their website that the transit visa is required only if the stay is more than 10/20 hours.
2) Where do they check for the transit visa? is it done while boarding into the airport in US or while entering into the German airport? If they find that we don't have a transit visa in Frankfurt airport, what would they do?
Please answer to my questions, this is really needed for me to act on getting the transit visa.

Yes Please. File an h1 extension NOW. (Premium or not premium doesn't matter much, since you are in H1 status all the time, with proper pay-stubs and all.)
But having an H1 is especially safe in this particular situation.

But Iam already in 7th year. Based on my situation I want to make sure whether Iam eligible or not for applying one more H1 while other (H1 appeal is pending). So I posted my request here too.

When using AC21, In case of RFE on I1485, do we need to have a copy of approved I-140 ?

My answer might be a little too pessimistic but I actually filed an appeal for a denied LC in Sep 2006. and as of today I still haven't heard from them. we tried calling and emailing them but they keep asking us to wait and they will get to it.

I called the DOL so many time and they gave me the same response: "Your case is in process, we work on first in, first out, and we do not expedited cases, we don't have a frame time" That is not a concrete answer.

EB5 investor Visa is already in place.
The numbers are a little different ($500,000 to $1M) but you can buy yourself a GC pretty quickly.
If I am not wrong.....I had checked on the EB5 retrogression some time back..

I am in the process of changing job. The new employer is saying that I can start working with them from the very next day, after they file H1B transfer application. ie I don't have to wait for the receipt. Is this true? They are asking me to give 2 weeks notice immediately so that by the time they file H1B, 2 weeks will get over, and I can start there immediately.

Maybe you can give me my answer. I imported a file from Swift 3D, published, F12 to view, and then went control enter to view the size. After almost choking when I saw the size it added to my SWF (255K for a 7 letter word, spinning) I decided immediatley that was intolerable to my movie size requirements, and deleted the entire Swift 3D animation from my Movie. Took it out of the frames, the library, every place imaginable. And I was floored to find what it did to my Fla. It ruined it. My Fla went from 605K to 8.9 MEG. For all the various purposes of how I use an Fla, it is ruined. The ghost of that Swift 3D stays with my Fla even today. Like a cancer, cannot get rid of it. Can you tell me how to get it out so I can restore my Fla?

otherwise, the site looks good.
it is going to be a little hard to get used to this new look. afterall, the old site had a background color which was very unique. That stood it apart from other sites.

This isn't really answering any questions, but I've asked my company's lawyer to look into the benefits (and/or disadvantages) of making the switch frm TR (non-RIR) to RIR. Since this notice was only made recently by the DOL (in the Federal Register on October 6, 2006), I would imagine that it will take some time for lawyers, etc to figure out all the implications. As soon as I get any information, I will definitely post it.

Is the any advantage (or not), filing 140 1st, and lets say your PD is already current, file AOS later. I.E. file them Separately, not in the same packet.

I am hoping to port to a new job using AC21. I contacted my attorney with various questions about the process, but she told me that she can not respond to my questions because she represents me as well as the current company I work for. For those of you who are looking to port or have already done so, did you face a similar situation - where your attorney could not advise and assist you through the process of porting? How did you resolve this situation? Did you have to find another attorney to help you with porting to a new job?

China remained in second place, although there was a sharp 21 per cent spike in students from China, going up from 81,127 last academic year to 98,235 this year. South Korea (69,000 to 75,000) remained in third place.
This is the eighth consecutive year that India has remained in the top spot. In course of a preview of the forthcoming visit to Washington of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh next week, Indian officials said on Monday that Indian student inflow contributed nearly $ 3 billion to the US economy last year. Overall, international students contribute $17.8 billion to the US economy, through their expenditures on tuition and living expenses, according to the US Department of Commerce.
Authors of the report said the findings do not reflect the full impact of the past year's economic downturn, since decisions to come to the United States to study were made before the financial effects were fully felt in the sending countries.

The IB system is offered by many charter schools. These schools are public schools but have been set up through a charter agreed to by the parents. They are public schools managed by parents. You do not have to pay anything for your child to attend one of these (At least in the great state of GA, u dont).
The IB website indicated schools like Jamnabai Narsee in Bombay also offer the IB program.
