Here's a radical suggestion, very unlikely to be implemented, but maybe interesting.
The iPod has a screen on the front which displays the controls, but the touch/presence/motion sensitive sensor is on the back. Since the controls are on the back, your view of the screen isn't obscured by your finger tapping on it.
But how do you see exactly where your fingers are? Simple - the "None Touch" sensor detects where your fingers are, and superimposes a representation of their position on the screen - it's almost like a transparent iPod, where your fingers behind the iPod are shown on the screen in front.
Benefits
- your fingers aren't obscuring your view of the screen
- you're not smudging or scratching the screen by tapping on it.

Yea that'd be real cool if it were possible, but eh... anyone who's paid any attention to how much work they said they had to do to squeeze everything into the iphone4, while maximizing the internal space to do it... they'd have to make the entire phone as a single Integrated Circuit and fill the rest of that space with battery. At that point, I can't imagine why they'd bother with black bars on top & bottom, & not just put the cam below a 50% reflective spot the display, the speaker out a small forward facing slot in the aluminum, and have the entire surface of the phone be display. ...which will probably happen eventually, though seems a long way off.

yes I agree the hands in both those pictures look extremely similar.
I am going to have to side with Samsung on this; apple stole their hand.
As far as the phones go? the looks are similar but still different looking.

Is Apples Bluetooth tech anywhere near as completely useless as Logitech's bluetooth mouse tech?
I have a DiNovo bluetooth set and the mouse (suprisingly the most expensive mouse they sell) is almost criminally bad. If this represents the bluetooth signal as a whole for mouse movement then why in gods name is Apple making this? I cant even use my Logitech BT mouse because it only works normally for 10 minutes before it freaks out or just stops trying, I have to stick with RF from them (which is flawless).
I had one bluetooth mouse, macalley I think, threw it away very fast, also had one of the first logitech cordless desktop sets, worked like a charm, only down side was the need for some dongle, I would love a cordless keyboard and mouse that doesnt need a dongle, hence bluetooth, but Im going to read a dozen reviews first before I even try anything bluetooth again. Lets hope apple fixes the problems they had with corded MM.... :o

Ah, so ultimately there will still be 7+ cables, just not connected to the computer itself.
If it's connections to your laptop, that's a win right there. Once you've set up the other connected devices, you won't have to mess with them whenever you go somewhere with the laptop.

How is that different from how Apple "acquired" iOS and OS X ? Yet no one is going to claim Apple didn't build those 2 OSes.
Again, some of you guys need to put the Google hate to rest. This is not the thread for it and to diminish their efforts on Chrome OS and Android is to do the same to OS X since the histories and origins are similar (acquisitions and open source projects).
And I will not stand by anyone who does that to Apple's efforts with OS X.

While I am willing to believe that the iPhone5 won't be available in June/July (no none announced it for that time and it is only 'expected' by people because it was that way the last couple of years, but nothing official) - I don't think that AT&T Customer Reps know anything about it. Same goes for Apple Store Employees and probably 99.9% of the people employed by Apple.

After researching, I discovered that chocolate milk has the same carb to protein ratio that expensive recovery drink mixes have (such as the P90X Recovery Drink). So, instead of spending around $60/month, I've elected to go with the chocolate milk, and to add a few supplements that are important for muscle recovery (which are found in those expensive drinks). Any excuse to drink chocolate milk is a good one.

Walt Mossberg wrote a very interesting article in the Wall Street Journal about 2 weeks ago in which he said independent research had noted that 19% of all college students now use a Mac. That number is expected to grow leaps and bounds by this time next year.

Not sure I understand, I've had 4G on my Evo for over a year now...

wimax is not 4G. it even shows up with the wifi icon when it's connected. LTE is a real ITU standard that will eventually pave the way for real 4G
